About Reynaldo Williams
Your Creative and Artistic Photographer.
Second generation Cuban American who started a career in art in early childhood, throughout High School and College. Now, as a retired Navy Veteran after 20 years of military service, I am able to pursue and dedicate more time to my love and passion. (Given my previous career path, I never strayed away from the visual and creative field. Owner of Creative Photo Images, LLC, located in Baltimore, MD where my primary focusses are the sale of prints, graphic designs, events, portraitures photography and image restorations. Displayed work with RAW- Natural Born Artist; published in Virginia Living, BuckOff magazine.
My Art is my calling, my passion, my profession, and the thing that will undoubtedly drive me insane someday.
Life has allowed me to see both the darkness and the light in man-kind. However, I choose to enhance my surroundings by photographing and creating art the way I feel (unbounded). My artwork is neither political nor socially divested, however with a primary focus and an objective-artistic view of Nature, I try to emulate its beauty by interpreting what I see through the lens of my camera - be it Nature, People, or Inanimate objects.
At times, I will engineer my image(s) to represent a perception of surrealism that Nature so often will present to us in such a delightful and breath-taking way, thereby allowing us to formulate an interpretation of what we think it should be and marble in her magnificence.
While I employ a variety of software and processes to produce my images, my methods are consistent. Although they may not always be a similarity between my compositions, however, they are all bound together by a recurring similarity in style. The subject matter of each piece will sometimes determine the software-medium and technique I employ. As such, it’s a bit of a strange concept. But, it’s honest – and it’s the best way to describe my approach to my craft. I struggle with every image I shoot, and process to, achieve perfection, if it’s at all possible.
First and foremost, I’ am influenced by everything I see, feel and experience. However, the following artists are the ones that I most admire and have a strong influence in my work: Leonardo da Vinci: For his sense of style, strong detail in his work and innovation; Rembrandt van Rijn: for his warm and fantastic usage of lighting techniques in his portrait and subjects; Salvador Dali: for his striking and bizarre images in his surrealist work. Pierre-Auguste Renoir and Paul Cezanne: for their process of merging traditional Impressionism and realism representation in their work; Dutch Masters of the Golden Era: (in particular, Johannes Vermeer) Specifically, his/their usage of rich tints, hues, and textures. Joel Grimes: a modern-day photographer who inspires me with his style of image manipulation, his application of light and his tenacity to work unbound
My satisfaction is that each person who views my work obtains something a little different – a means of self-identification and comfort from the same image!
Eclectic by nature, if that’s all you ever know about me, it’s enough to say you know me quite well.
