About Reynaldo Williams
Cuban American Actor, Photographer, Retired Navy Veteran, former EMT and Police Officer.
Acting and photography have always been my passion. From my early childhood in Cuba, my time in the in the Navy and working as a Police Officer and EMT, all has given me a unique perspective on life. I've seen both darkness and light in humanity.
These experiences inform my work as an actor and photographer. When I take on a role, I draw from my life to make the character feel authentic and real. I also strive to capture reality in my photos, though sometimes I like to experiment with surreal elements as well. Nature often presents beauty in surprising ways, and through my art I aim to interpret that in new lights.
My approach varies depending on the mood and subject, but some techniques stay consistent. I listen to inspiring music as I work. Artists from different eras also influence me, from Rembrandt's mastery of light and shadow to Salvador Dali's dreamlike surrealism. It's a compilation of all I've seen and learned that fuels my creativity.
The material determines the tools and techniques I use for each new piece. As an artist at heart who strives for perfection, I tailor my process accordingly. Most rewarding is when my audience finds something personal or comforting in my work. A glimpse into another perspective is what I hope to share.
Eclectic and ever-evolving, this gives a sense of who I am. Creativity is my calling, and I pour all of life's lessons into it.
